Chapter Six
Adair was at home getting ready when the door bell rang. He was half dressed
answered the door in fury.
“What?” Adair looked out. No one was there, but there was a piece of paper on the front steps. He picked it
up and read it.
One down two to go
This is what you should know
When she is done and gone
We will have won
- BJ
It was written in a half blood’s blood. Adair could tell by the brightness of the blood. He didn’t even bother
to put his pants on when he shadowed over to Kelly’s.
Kelly was home alone playing on the computer. Adair showed him the piece of paper and he had to leave. It was almost 1:30
a.m. Kelly showed Leila when she got back.
“Who’s BJ?” She looked at the hand writing. She didn’t recognize it.
“I don’t know, maybe blow job?” Kelly joked. “Hand me that phone book,” Kelly pointed to
a little red book that held all the vampires in the U.S. They looked through it and found our possible suspects.
Billy Johnson
Blake Jackson
Blain Johnson
Blake Juggler
“What was Blake’s last name?” Kelly laid down on the bed.
“I don’t remember,” Leila untied Kelly’s converse shoes. “I could ask his cousin, Tre.”
“Do that tomorrow I want to cuddle right now,” Kelly pulled her down on the bed.
They fell asleep for about three hours. Then Adair showed up. He woke Leila up, but Kelly wasn’t disturbed.
“Did you guys find out who BJ was?” Adair was whispering so not to wake up Kelly.
Leila looked around the room, “We got some names but we don’t know who it may be.” She picked up a sheet
of paper and handed it to Adair. He looked at it but couldn’t decipher the hand writing. Boy, when Kelly is tired
or if he wants to “cuddle”, he really has bad handwriting. Adair thought to himself.
Kelly woke up and didn’t move. He wanted to watch Adair and Leila. They didn’t notice that he was awake so
he was perfectly fine.
“How was your date last night?” Leila glanced at Kelly, he shut his eyes quickly.
“Last night?” Adair looked at her funny. “It ended a half an hour ago.”
“We’ve only been asleep for three hours Leila,” Kelly sat up.
“Oh okay,” she looked confused.
“So are you staying dead with us?” Kelly put his arm around Leila.
“Yeah,” Adair smiled, “Yeah I am.”
Chapter Seven
They all slip their separate ways for the day. Leila went home to go to
bed but couldn’t. Then Adair went to work and got strange looks from everyone he worked with. Kelly passed out again
on the futon this time.
There was a knock on Kelly’s door. He rolled over, “Who the hell is it?”
“BJ,” a voice yelled back.
“You mean Blow Job?” Kelly started to get up.
“No Billy Johnson,” the voice yelled back.
“WHO?” Kelly fell back down.
“Billy Johnson. A vampyre,” the door knob started to turn.
Kelly wasted no time shadowing. He went over to Adair’s house. It scared the crap out of him.
“ADAIR WHERE ARE YOU,” Kelly turned around. “Oh there you are.”
“What I was sleeping punk,” Adair threw a box of condoms at him.
“What do you need these for you don’t get any?” Adair flipped him off.
“No. Sorry I don’t like small and I have a girl anyway.”
“What do you want Kelly,” Adair sat up and thought to him self ,“Why did he say he had a girl?”
“Billy Johnson was at my house,” Kelly set the box down.
“WHO WAS THERE?” Adair’s eyes got big.
“You know BJ.” Kelly looked at him
“Man that’s all?,” Adair threw another box at him. This time they were large.
“Man are you gay?”
“NO!” Adair walked into the kitchen.
“Whatever. BJ, Billy Johnson, it’s the vampyre who wrote the note on the steps,” Kelly put the box in
his pocket.
“Put them down Kelly,” Adair said.
“Gaylord,” Kelly laughed.
“Kelly knock it off man I grabbed the small on accident,” Adair looked out of the kitchen, Kelly was gone.
When Kelly got back form Adair’s, Leila was sitting on his steps. She had fallen asleep on them.
“Again on my steps,” Kelly said aloud as he sat down by her.
“Wha?” she looked at him.
“Morning sleepy,” Kelly helped her up. “Why are you here?”
“I couldn’t sleep and I wanted to come over I guess,” she looked at the door. “Can we go inside?”
They went inside and another note was on Kelly’s futon. This one said:
If you leave me here again
I will kill her sooner.
I cant think of anything o rhyme with sooner
but spooner.
“Okay that was weird,” Leila went in his room and fell asleep.
Kelly wandered in there and looked at her. Why had he said she was his girl? He never understood why he said the things he
said.
Chapter Eight
Leila had another dream. Only this time it had Tre and Blake in it. The
two were planning some thing. She couldn’t hear them, so she moved in. Just as she was moving in she realized she was
Blake’s cat, Fright.
She jumped on the table scaring the crap out of Tre.
“Stupid cat,” Tre looked at her. His eyes widened.
“What? She’s just a cat Tre,” Blake looked at her. “Cool your jets man.”
“No that’s not just a cat man there’s something about her,” Tre looked at Blake. “It’s
like there’s some one in her.”
“Tre don’t be stupid. It’s just Fright,” Blake stood up and scratched his butt and said he was
going to bed.
“Okay I’ll stay out here,” Tre picked up the cat. Blake went down the hall. “Are you really a vampyre
Fright?” He asked the kitty.
Leila wanted to jump out of Fright but she couldn’t. It was like a force was holding her in.
Then she woke up with Kelly by her side. He was still asleep and looking peaceful, for once. She got up and went in to
the living room. It was 4:00 p.m. Adair wouldn’t be awake so she couldn’t tell him about the dream.
Leila sat with her knees tucked under her with her stuffed dog that Tre got her four years ago for Christmas. I wonder
if Blake had anything to do with the notes and if he did why would he want me dead? Or deader. Whatever I know what I mean.
Kelly walked out, “You weren’t by me when I went to cuddle.” he smiled at her, she didn’t smile
back. “What’s wrong Chelsea?” He hadn’t called her that in a long time.
“Nothing I’m just thinking. That’s all,” she looked at him with eyes of an innocent puppy. Kelly
put his arm around her and pulled her into a hug.
“Kelly, does BJ have anything to do with Blake?”
“No it doesn’t,” Kelly got up and grabbed a piece of paper. It was the note Billy Johnson left before
she showed up. He told her everything she missed.
“So do Tre and Blake have anything to do with at all?”
“I don’t know Chelsea,” He looked at the stuffed dog.
“Don’t call me that,’’ Leila was surprised to hear herself say that.
“Are you sure you’re okay Leila?”
“Yeah,” she got up and put her shoes on then shadowed out.
Kelly knew something was wrong and went over to her house to figure it out. Eric was asleep on the couch in his work clothes.
He smelled of fried chicken. Leila wasn’t at home.
She went over to Blake’s house to talk to his sister, Ambrose. She would help her with all of this.
“Ambrose?” Leila looked around.
“She’s not home may I take a message?” Tre and Blake were sleeping in the living room.
Tre had his shirt on and that was all. He had a blanket over him. He had dies his hair since the last time she saw him.
It was a dark purple and was a messy Mohawk/buzz cut. Leila wanted to walk over and give him a hug but she didn’t.
Blake was in his t-shirt and Tripped pants as usual half awake. “I thought you would be here Leila.”
“I’m I safe here?” she sat down on the remote and turn the T.V. on waking up Tre.
“WHAT! I DIDN’T DO IT I SWEAR GABBY I DIDN’T EAT ALL OF THE STRAWBERRIES!”
“What are you talking about Tre?” Blake looked at him. “Oh put some boxers on too Mr. Pup tent.”
Tre turned red as soon as he noticed Leila.
“So you need help because you love Kelly but you also love Tre and you don‘t want a Boyfriend?” Blake
looked at her. “You also have two vampyres chasing you to kill you right?”
Great another mind reader in the group, “GRRR I hate it when you read my mind Blake,” she hit his arm.
“You what?” Tre looked at her sheepishly.
“Nothing Tre,” Leila looked glared at Blake as if to kill him.
“Well now, lets see what I can do here,” Blake looked at her in the eyes. “I can do nothing. Ambrose
can but I can’t. All I can do is watch you like all the others.”
“DUH! That’s why I’m here idiot,” Tre looked at her again.
“Why don’t you two kids go for an early car ride to Wal-Mart for me. I need some batteries ok,” Blake
got up to get some money.
“What kind,” Tre got up and then help Leila up. She was thankful that he had the blanket on his waist.
“Duracell double a. Twenty-four pack please,” Blake gave ten dollars to Leila.
Before they left Tre got a shower and got dressed. He had on his Green Day T-shirt and Tripped NYC pants on, “So
who’s driving?”
“I can’t because my car is at my house,” She looked out the window.
“Okay I will I guess,” Tre got the keys and the two were off.
Chapter Nine
Kelly got frustrated and went to Adair’s. Adair was still wake and
was watching 2 Fast 2 Furious.
“Adair, she left,” Kelly turned off the T.V.
“I was watching that Kelly,” Adair looked at him.
“Adair Leila’s gone. She told me not to call her Chelsea and then left.”
“I wouldn’t want you to call me Chelsea either,” Adair joked.
“I’m serious Adair,” Kelly tried to think of where she would go.
“Didn’t you think to check Blake’s house?” Adair got up and went to get dressed.
“No,” Kelly was thinking about anything she said that might have given her a reason to go over there.
“She said that Ambrose might have some information about BJ,” Adair came out of his room in his Independent
hat and his tripped pants. He was looking for a shirt.
“You look stupid Adair,”
“Like you when your fretting over Leila when she’s with Tre.”
“WHAT? You know where she’s at?” Kelly threw a pillow at him.
“Yeah. She called me around 5:10 and told me she would be at Wal-Mart with Tre getting some stuff for Blake.”
Adair grabbed a shirt from the laundry.
“Let’s go and see if she’s okay,” Kelly shadowed hoping Adair would fallow.
The two searched Wal-Mart for a while when they heard an announcement on the over head.
“Please all people evacuate the building immediately.”
“Let’s got see what’s happening,” Kelly ran over to Art’s and Crafts area of Wal-Mart
.
